Tackling health inequalities

HealthExpect Community Interest Company (CIC) exists to tackle health inequalities across West Wales. It raises money to help reduce health inequalities in the area. It does this by running a society lottery and working collaboratively with independent charity, People's Health Trust to develop local interventions.

We donate the good causes funds we raise to People's Health Trust, who invests these in communities wishing to make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

This grant making trust funds local people who have great ideas about how they can make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

Splice Child and Family Project

Splice Child and Family Project were awarded £6,002 to deliver a one-year project which involves the planning and creation of an outside space that will stimulate all senses. The space will be used to offer families learning opportunities to plan, plant and participate in the maintenance of the space and also as a space to play. Beneficiaries will be babies, pre-school children, and families from the North Avenue area of Bridgend, in South Wales.
